What do you get when you combine a comic convention, an anime convention and a sci-fi convention- Well, the mad scientists who created it are calling this unholy amalgamation Supanova. Taking place at Olympic Park from 12 October to 14 October, Supanova will provide the masses with everything from sneak previews of anime series to cosplay parades and competitions.
This year Supanova will feature visits from several of the stars of big Sci-Fi shows including: Lani Tupu from Farscape, Nicholas Brandon from Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Nicki Clyne from Battlestar Galactica (she’s hot, let her know I said so). If that doesn’t engage your warp engines there will be several sci-fi and fantasy authors appearing including Jennifer Fallon, author of the Hythrun Chronicles, and Marianne de Pierres, author of the Parrish Plessis series.
Top that off with some never-before-seen previews from Madman entertainment and playable demos of some of the most anticipated upcoming games and you have the foundations for the nerdiest event in the history of Sydney.
So suit up in your Storm Trooper armor, grab your Bat’leth and disrupter pistols and head on down to Olympic Park to see how this abomination unto the Lord turns out.
