Armin Van Buuren, one of the multitude of trance kings to showcase their Dutch wares to world, has been voted DJ MAG's number-one DJ of 2007.

After a record-breaking 345,000 votes were cast by dance music fans from more than 200 countries, Holland's favourite trance fella came out on top, surpassing last year's peak at number two.

For the past number of years, Van Buuren has consistently been in the top 10 of the world's 'most influential DJ poll' (haha). Starting in 2001 at an impressive 27th, 'AvB' has since climbed the rungs of the DJ society, culminating in an impressive peak this year.

As one of the world's most busiest producers, DJs and anything else you can think of, Van Buuren has somewhat earned the title this year, with an abundance of work seeing him host a radio show that's broadcast to 40 stations around the world, touring the world with the release of A State Of Trance.

With an artist album in the works as well (scheduled for release early 2008), Armin will also be showing the world his 'Armin Only' concept - long sets, live acts and performances that proved successful in his native Holland.

Here's some recent of the world number-one in action:
